1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Book of Houses ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Book of Houses is a personal development web application that helps users engage in self-improvement activities called "quests." The Service includes account management, quest tracking, and optional SMS notifications.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including a valid phone number for verification purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number and checking the consent box during registration, you agree to receive:

• Account verification codes
• Optional quest reminder messages (if you opt in when accepting a quest)

Message Frequency: Verification codes are sent at login. Quest reminders are sent up to 4 times per active quest.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

All content and materials available through the Service are the property of Book of Houses or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Book of Houses shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason. You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
